Getting Dirty in your Garden!
The subject of this newsletter may sound funny, but it definitely describes the free-spirited nature of gardening. The joy of getting dirty in your garden is that you break free of social norms that state that everything must be clean and perfect. Gardening is quite the contrary - a muddy, messy journey into the untapped mysteries of the Earth.

To begin gardening, you'll first need to find a plot of dirt. This can be as big or little as you want, but it must be good-quality soil that is moist and ideal for plant life. We wouldn't recommend digging around in your neighbour's back yard to find good soil - unless you ask them first, of course!

As soon as you have your area picked out, take a trip to your local greenhouse. This part is the most fun of all! You can browse the thousands of different plants and pick out which ones you'd like to "adopt" and grow in your own garden.
Some people pick flowering plants, some pick ones with broad leaves. You can also grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs if you have the right growing conditions.

Once you get home, you'll discover the real science involved in gardening. Each plant has its own place and growing time. It can be quite a challenge to give every plant the sunlight, water, and space it needs, but that's the joy of being a gardener! Every day you're met with the responsibility to maintain and enjoy your garden for as long as you desire.

Place the air line in the bottom of the barrel to form a circle around the bottom to aerate the water.
Fill the barrel with fresh clean water.
Turn the air pump on and start aerating the water.
If you want to let it aerate the water for 24 hours is fine.
Add 250 mil Molasses

Add 500 grams Blood & Bone

Add 500 mil Seasol Liquid or Seaweed Liquid.

Add a small hessian bag full of compost

Leave the air pump run for 24 hours and then remove the hessian bag of compost from the water.

Leave the air pump running for another 24 hours.

Now start watering your garden with the compost tea.
Exploring Nutrition as a Pastime!
In recent years, health and nutrition have garnered a lot of attention. Gone are the days where we just stick food in our mouths and hope that it nourishes us. Now nutrition is down to an exact science, but that doesn't really mean anything if you don't understand it.
Nutrition is a very common hobby these days, due to the fact that there are so many choices in regards to food and supplements. Learning more about what you put into your body can mean lengthening your life for years to come.

To start learning about nutrition, we suggest you do some internet searching. There are thousands of websites that provide short snippets of information on very specific topics. These articles are highly targeted and easy to digest.

Only after you've gotten a grip on the basics do we recommend reading a book on the topic. You can either buy one online, check one out from the library, or borrow one from a friend. One thing you don't want to do is read a book on a "diet plan," because these are designed to market a product and may contained biased or skewed information.

Once you know more about nutrition, you can start shaping your daily food choices accordingly. You may decide to eat more high-protein foods in order to get more strength and energy, which can definitely pay off in the long run. There are so many advantages to adopting nutrition as a hobby, so go ahead and get started now!
